Position Overview
The Estimator will be responsible for preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for heavy civil construction and underground construction projects. This role involves analyzing project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine the total cost of materials, labor, and equipment, ensuring that all estimates are completed in a timely manner to support project bidding and management.

Key Responsibilities

Review project plans and specifications to understand the scope of work and requirements.
Prepare detailed cost estimates for heavy civil and underground construction projects.
Analyze labor, material, and equipment costs to develop accurate estimates.
Collaborate with project managers and engineers to gather necessary information for estimates.
Conduct site visits to gather data and assess potential challenges and costs.
Prepare bid proposals and present estimates to management and clients.
Monitor project progress and adjust estimates as necessary during the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating within the heavy civil or underground construction industry.
Strong understanding of construction methods and materials.
Proficiency in estimating software and tools.
Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
