Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team, specializing in commercial painting and coatings. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating project costs, preparing detailed estimates, and providing key insights to ensure successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Review project plans and specifications to understand the scope of work.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for painting and coatings projects, including materials, labor, and equipment.
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to clarify project requirements and provide accurate estimates.
- Analyze market trends and pricing to ensure competitive bidding.
- Maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to gather accurate pricing information.
- Assist in the preparation of bids and proposals for projects.
- Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and gather necessary information for estimating.
- Monitor project budgets and provide ongoing estimates as needed throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications- Proven experience as an Estimator in the commercial painting and coatings industry.
- Strong knowledge of painting materials, coatings, and application techniques.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills for accurate cost estimation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
- Proficiency in estimating software and tools.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
