Position Overview
The Estimator/Preconstruction Manager will oversee the preconstruction phase of projects, ensuring accurate cost estimates and effective planning. This role is crucial for setting project budgets and timelines, facilitating communication between stakeholders & subcontractors, and speaking with clients & walking them through the process.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates for various construction projects.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors during the preconstruction phase.
Utilize Procore and other software tools for project management and documentation.
Communicate with clients and walk them through the construction process.
Analyze project specifications and drawings to determine accurate cost projections.
Lead value engineering sessions to optimize project costs and timelines.
Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and contracts.
Evaluate subcontractor bids and negotiate contracts to ensure competitive pricing.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in estimating and preconstruction management in the construction industry.
Proficiency in estimating software and tools, including Procore.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in cost estimations.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
