Insurance Defense Attorney

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in insurance defense litigation and will be responsible for representing clients in various insurance-related legal matters. The position requires excellent analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Represent clients in insurance defense litigation cases
Conduct legal research and prepare legal memoranda
Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients
Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
Prepare for and attend court appearances and trials
Manage discovery processes, including document review and depositions
Collaborate with expert witnesses and consultants as needed
Conduct site inspections and gather evidence to support cases
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior attorneys and legal staff
Stay updated on changes in insurance law and regulations

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
Active Nevada Bar License
Minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance defense litigation
Strong knowledge of personal injury, commercial trucking, construction, and general liability law
Proven trial experience and ability to handle courtroom procedures
Excellent legal writing and research skills
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
Ability to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and the court
Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and take initiative
Experience with cloud-based document management and paperless systems
Commitment to professional development and continuous learning
