Tax Manager
Position Overview
The Tax Manager will oversee tax planning and compliance for high net worth individuals and entities, ensuring adherence to all tax regulations while optimizing tax strategies. This role requires in-depth knowledge of various tax forms and structures, as well as experience in public accounting and client management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage tax compliance and planning for high net worth individuals, S-Corps, C-Corps, and partnerships.
- Review and prepare various tax returns including 1040, 1120S, 1065, and 709.
- Coordinate with clients to gather necessary documentation and information for tax preparation.
- Conduct tax research to stay updated on changing tax laws and regulations affecting high net worth individuals and entities.
- Provide guidance on estate and gift tax issues, fiduciary responsibilities, and tax implications of trusts.
- Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize clients' tax liabilities and enhance compliance.
- Supervise and mentor junior tax staff, providing training and support in tax preparation and planning activities.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA certification is required; EA designation is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax accounting, preferably in public accounting.
- Strong knowledge of tax compliance, tax planning, and tax regulations for high net worth individuals and entities.
- Experience with various tax forms including 1040, 1120, 1120S, 1065, and 709.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and tax preparation software.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
